Forrer mentions Benjamin Patrick, a Birmingham die-sinker and engraver that produced trade tokens from at least 1792 through 1811. There was no mention of this medal however. Also there are what appear to be the letters POFT stamped into the reverse exergue though their meaning is unclear. There is a Tipton located about halfway between Birmingham and Wolverhamption in Staffordshire.
