This may be a bit scarce. Not only is it the first I've seen, it is the only one of perhaps a dozen similar jetons described in Bramsen for the coronation that wasn't for sale in the d'Essling catalog. While Bramsen owned several of the jetons described (indicated with an asterisk in the books) this was not one he had acquired in his extensive collection. These two things indicate that two of the most active collectors of all time hadn't managed to find one. Of course they didn't have the Internet... |
