Osnabrück had been semi-independent or more for several centuries by this point, issuing its own money through much of the time and had joined the Hanseatic League. It was in 1803 that it was absorbed by Hannover and ceased to exist as a separate state. The 3 pfenning was a one year type issued only in 1805. |
