A wreath surrounds an enterwined pair of initials, probably those of Catherine II.
  The date 1789 is in the field and the initials are surmounted by a crown.
Size, 42 mm.
 
Another heavy coin, struck on a crude planchet. The dark blue-black spots on the scan appear to be the left-overs of an ancient varnish or glue job.
