Background
Marvin's Materials for a Catalog of Masonic Medals, Part 1 is one of the few books on the subject in the English language. To be honest I'm not certain other than a couple of small books put out by a couple of English lodges that there are other books.
However. One look at the listing below it is clear his organization was not chronological. In fact I've yet to figure out his approach. I suspect he made notes of various medals he came across and when he figured he knew enough, would assign them a reference number.
