Vern's Comments:

There's no mention in BHM of this piece in white metal. That could mean that this was a later restrike or that the authors had never run across one. I would argue that it is a contemporary piece simply because of the terrible hole. If it had been restruck later it would have been for a collector and not for someone who would try to wear it.
