ANNO QUINQUAGESIMO REGNI. (The fiftieth year of his reign).


This may be a variant of the described medal, or BHM may have mis-represented the obverse. On this obverse there is a U rather than a V in GEORGIVS. Closer examination of the roman numeral date reads MDCCXXXVIII.
